Cross-Cultural Dialogue Center
The Architecture of Dialogue Architecture possesses the profound ability to shape human connection and influence the way we communicate. For Rokn El Hiwar—a pioneering center dedicated to cross-cultural and cross-religious discussion in Dammam—we were tasked with translating the concept of a "Corner of Dialogue" into a physical, spatial experience. The objective was to design a modern, egalitarian environment where cultural bridges are built, intellectual exchange is nurtured, and business development thrives, all underpinned by cutting-edge digital integration. Drawing inspiration from the geometry of unity, we anchored the space with sweeping circular motifs—most notably the grand central gathering hub and the illuminated ceiling structures—that naturally encourage equitable, face-to-face interaction. The headquarters unfolds as a luminous, open-plan ecosystem seamlessly blending versatile meeting zones, dedicated dialogue halls, and business development centers. Recognizing that a modern dialogue center requires modern tools, we embedded advanced interactive technologies and expansive digital displays directly into the architectural canvas. These tech-forward elements are balanced by a deeply calming, minimalist material palette of continuous terrazzo, light woods, and ethereal lighting, ensuring the technology serves the conversation without overwhelming the human element. The result is a highly functional, tech-enabled sanctuary that feels both culturally grounded and globally progressive.
